The body of a teenager who was allegedly kidnapped has been found dumped in Mfuleni.
Simanye Ndamane, 14, had apparently been taken near his Extension 6 home by people in a green VW Golf around 5pm on Sunday.
Two days later, his lifeless body was found by boys who were walking in the bushes along Klipfontein Road.
Cops say that the teen’s body had gunshot wounds.
His uncle Bulelani says: “He had been taken and we didn’t know where he was. We went to the police station and reported him missing.
“And then we got a call that said kids who were walking in that bush found Simanye’s body and we rushed to the scene.”
His family stood and watched as the police searched for clues in the dark on Tuesday night.
“We don’t really know what happened to him or why he was taken,” says Bulelani.
“We also don’t know who the green Golf belongs to. We hope that the police will reveal what actually happened to my nephew.”
SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi confirms: “The victim was identified as a 14-year-old boy who was reported missing on Sunday.
“Mfuleni Police are investigating a case of murder as the victim sustained gunshot wounds to his body.”
“The unknown suspect/s who fled the scene are yet to be arrested.
“The motive for the attack is unknown.
