Trevor Noah will be hosting the free Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 event in December.
Global Citizen announced the comedian will be at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday, 2 December.
He joins co-hosts Dave Chappelle, Bonang and Nomzamo Mbatha, as well as a host of Hollywood stars including Naomi Campbell, Sir Bob Geldof, Tyler Perry and Forest Whitaker.
The festival will be headlined by Beyoncé and
Jay-Z, together with Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams, Chris
Martin and Usher.
Oprah Winfrey is expected to give the keynote address.
Trevor said it was an honour to be part of celebrating Nelson Mandela’s legacy.
“I am where I am today living as a free South African because of much of what he did and so I’m beyond exci-
ted to be teaming up with so many others to pay tribute to the man in his home country.”
Tickets for the concert are not for sale and are acquired through charitable acts.
