Four people, including a mother and her two children, have been shot and wounded after gangsters stormed inside their Lentegeur home and opened fire.
Charmaine Waterloo, 39, and her sons, aged nine and 14, and another relative aged 33, were rushed to hospital on Wednesday after the incident in Begonia Street.
Relative Leon Antonie, 58, says he had not been at home when the incident occurred, but rushed to the scene: “They were just at home and some were in the yard when these guys ran inside and started shooting.”
Leon claims rival gangs might be behind the shooting.
He speculated that it might have something to do with former skollies visiting the house.
“There were 13 doppies(bullet casings) on the scene,” he adds.
“We don’t know why this has happened, maybe it’s because of ou gangsters hanging out here.”
