Lockdown is not taking the shine off these two local stars.
Paxton Fielies has just released her latest single, Good Company, while Jarrad Ricketts is set to launch his first gospel track, You Are Lord.
The 19-year-old former Idols winner explains: “Lockdown happened just as I was about to release my new material and this cancelled so many plans, but we decided we’re not gonna let the lockdown stop us from being creative.”
The single was written by Caleb Williams and recorded in studio before lockdown with Jaydon Lewis as producer.
The Bishop Lavis songbird and her housemate filmed the selfie-video with a Sony hand camera.

Paxton explains the inspiration behind Good Company: “The song was inspired by just the importance of having good people in your life.
“The company we keep affects the quality of our lives and that is a universal truth.
“It’s also about being very protective of your time, energy and space, also the importance of surrounding yourself with people who contribute to your life and are good for your heart and mind.
Meanwhile, R&B star Jarrad is looking forward to unveiling You Are Lord on the kykNET, show Koortjies met Jonathan Rubain, at 6pm on Sunday, 3 May, Channel 145 on DStv.
The official release date is 4 May.
Jarrad, 32, from Ottery says he wanted to spread a positive message.
“I feel like now more than ever, we have to hold onto our faith and I believe that music can help people through this time,” he says.
“As a musician, I feel I have a responsibility to use my platform to uplift and encourage people, so many of us have lost income, jobs and a hope.
“I want to use my God-given talent to spread a positive message, reminding people that God is still in control.”
You Are Lord was recorded with live band and is described as a “powerful gospel anthem”.
