They became an instant online hit in February with their duet videos, now Fatiema Petersen and Junaid Galant are hosting their debut online show, called Unconditional Love, on Saturday.
The daughter of the late music icon Taliep Petersen and her husband, from Crawford, say they granted the requests of their fans to do their own show.
The couple is famous for doing cover versions and will also be performing the song that gained them half a million views, called This is Why I Love You.
“It is our social media support that has inspired us to have this online show,” says Junaid, 29.
“We will be sharing our relationship journey through musical renditions of various cover songs that will leave you inspired, dancing and in love.”
Fatiema, 27, adds: “We were inspired by the increasing following on social media so we are giving in to what our followers have asked us to do.”
The couple, who are married for four years now and have a baby boy, say their virtual performances have enhanced their marriage and they enjoy spreading the love.
Fatiema says: “People enjoy and feel inspired by our videos and that is the aim, to spread love and happiness via social media.”
The duo currently has over 43 000 followers on Facebook.
They will be performing all their followers’ favourite cover songs and will also add a special performance by their producer Moeneeb Galant.
The show will be filmed at Soundcast Studios in Woodstock.
