Britney Spears has celebrated her freedom by having her first dop in 13 years.
The pop star took to Instagram this week to open up about her new life she has since the conservatorship her father Jamie Spears formerly held was ended.
The 40-year-old shared about how she enjoys Madonna’s music after a clip Tuesday in which she danced to the song Nobody’s Perfect.
“It’s like I’m not trying as much like I’m INDULGING ….. well that’s exactly what her music does to me!!!” said Britney, who posted an image of flowers to accompany the post.
The Baby One More Time hitmaker continued: “I mean I had my first glass of red wine last weekend!!! I’ve waited 13 years … that’s long enough!!!”
She said: “In a world where we all have the right to speak … drive … buy alcohol … party … have cash … I apologize for INDULGING in front of the masses … and dancing a touch slower!!! I mean what was I thinking?? Nobody’s perfect!!!”
After her her epic meltdown in 2008 - which led to her being placed under conservatorship - arme Britney can finally enjoy freedom and love, after getting engaged to Sam Asghari, 27, in November.
On Wednesday, Britney referenced her tension with her family, which saw her unfollow her sister Jamie Lynn on Instagram.
She said: “The sarcasm of me me me … my family taught me well by their actions … to be selfish and love thyself … play on!!!”
An insider told People Wednesday that Britney is making an effort to see her kids Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, and that Sam “is also bonding with them”.
The singer is “focused on staying healthy for her boys” after she spent time with them and her fiancé over the holidays.
