US comedian Bill Cosby's star on the Hollywood Walk
of Fame has been vandalized, with the words "serial rapist" written
across it in black marker, US media reported on Wednesday, citing
police in Los Angeles.
The graffiti from an unknown suspect has been removed since the
Monday incident, according to broadcaster CNN.
The star of " The Cosby Show" was convicted in April on three counts
of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting
Andrea Constand, a former employee of his alma mater Temple
University.
He is expected to be sentenced on September 24-25 and faces up to 10
years in jail for each of the convictions. Cosby's age - 81 - and the
fact that his crimes date back to 2004 could mean he gets less than
the maximum.
Cosby, who's expected to appeal, has been placed under house arrest
and ordered to wear an electronic GPS monitor until he is sentenced.
Cosby's star on the Walk of Fame star was unveiled in November 1977.
Someone defaced it with a similar message, "rapist," in 2014.
