Funnyman George Lopez has landed himself in hot water for “joking” about killing Donald Trump.
In response to a fake news Instagram post claiming that Iran has offered a $80 million bounty on the US president’s head, after the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, the actor wrote, “We’ll do it for half.”
Lopez’s comment sparked a backlash from Trump’s Conservative supporters, who inspired the hashtag #ArrestGeorgeLopez on Twitter on Monday.
Many called on the FBI and CIA to investigate the comedian.

“You ever hear of Democrat privilege? It means you can commit crimes without going to jail, like George Lopez threatening to assassinate the president,” Charlie Kirk, founder and president of Turning Point USA, a national conservative organisation, wrote on Twitter.
“When Republicans do this, they go to prison.”
