Emo Adams is making mense famous and now the Top 10 finalists of Maak My Famous have been announced.
In February, the show kicked off with 48 contestants, selected out of 6000 entrants who auditioned.
One of them is rapper Abdun-Noor Frank, 22, from Ocean View, aka MC Noedy, who also has a passion for acting and poetry.
Noedy stands for Never Overestimate, Define Yourself.
“I entered to gain experience and get out of my comfort zone,” says Noedy.
“My matric school teacher of 2017, Dalene Pretorius, entered me into the competition.

“In Ocean View, the only way out is to join a gang and I’ve been dodging this fate day by day thanks to music.
“I want to prove to everybody who looked down on me that they were wrong.”
Dalene tells the Daily Voice she knew Noedy was a winner when he acted in a school play in 2017.
“I entered him into the Suidooster Fees and sometimes after shows, I’d drop him off at home and I’d see the circumstances of their living conditions, which broke my heart, yet he always came out on top,” she says.
“Noedy used to be involved in some bad things like selling entjies or drugs at school, and he learnt the hard way that it doesn’t work out.
“He came to my class and started falling in love with the arts and this was his turning point.”
“I bought him a bike to travel to rehearsals, but his brother also sold that for drugs.”
Other acts in the Top 10 are singers Bernice van der Westhuizen, 18, from Swartruggens, Cheswyn Ruiters 20, from Vredenheim Farm, Jesmoné Damonse 29, from Stellenbosch, Jolene Slingers, 27, from Port Elizabeth, Megan Danner, 20, from Potchefstroom.
Speciality finalists are 19-year-old Rezah Forbes, from Schaapkraal, an Arts Ensemble trio aged 25 and 35 from Sasolburg, rapper Denton Petersen, 23, from Ceres, and The Unknown Dance crew, 21-26 from Ocean View
