The ding was rukking in Hanover Park last week - and for all the right reasons - as two of the country’s biggest hip hop artists filmed their much-
anticipated music video there.
After the announcement of their first-ever collaboration earlier this year, rappers AKA and YoungstaCPT came uit to show mense it’s not just all talk.
The Cape Flats rappers will be shooting their video in two locations - Cape Town and Johannesburg, and Hanover Park’s blokke brought just the right vibe.

When AKA (real name Kiernan Forbes) met YoungstaCPT (real name Riyadh Roberts) in 2012 at The Assembly nightclub, they could not have imagined just how big each would become in the music industry or that they’d one day be spitting bars together.
Fans, including adults and especially the laaities in Hanover Park, screamed with excitement when Super Mega and Youngsta stieked uit with their film crew and vibed through the waslyne.

But it could be a while before the residents and other fans see or hear the new song.
YoungstaCPT’s manager, Jarryd Williams, says although they are working hard at the moment he cannot give an exact date for the release of the song or the music video.
“We’re not ready to release yet, maybe soon in the upcoming weeks. It could be before the end of the year but definitely this year,” Williams said.
He says there is still a lot of work to be done and adds: “We will definitely keep the Daily Voice in the loop with developments if there are any, (but) otherwise nothing is happening right now, edits must still take place on the video.”

AKA proudly shared photos on Instagram, apologising to his four million strong “Megacy” for being so quiet on the music front: “Apologies for the delay ... I want the videos to drop with the music so we had to push it out a lil. But it’s gonna be worth it. Pinky promise. [sic]”
The Baddest hitmaker is based in Joburg, but is originally from Bellville and spent most of his childhood at his ouma’s house innie Plein.
In a nod to Bafana Bafana legend Benni McCarthy, he also posted: “This is where @bennimac17 learned to play ball... no jokes. New music coming soon soon.”
