Ariana Grande’s New Year’s resolution is to stay single.
The Dangerous Woman hitmaker has threatened to keep her solo status for the whole year - if not longer.
Grande took to Twitter in response to a fan’s social media post with a graphic from an entertainment outlet teasing, “Who is Ariana dating NOW?!”
The Florida native, 25, responded: “Can they tell me too?”
The star’s relationships with the late Mac Miller and Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson dominated entertainment headlines throughout last year.
She later posted a second response suggesting she was going to be staying single throughout 2019.
The Into You beauty wrote: “spoiler for the rest of this year/ probably my life: it’s no one. please refer back to this tweet for future questions. (sic)”
And she seemed to be relieved to put the past year behind her as she wrote: “Farewell 2018, you f***” in a New Year’s Eve Instagram post.
She split with rapper Mac Miller in May after two years together, about four months ahead of his 8 September overdose at 26 from alcohol, cocaine and fentanyl.
Grande has posted a series of memorials to the late rapper, most recently on Sunday, when she posted a clip of Miller playing a piano before pulling down the post.
Shortly after Miller’s death, Grande said of her ex on social media: “I adored you from the day I met you when i was nineteen and I always will. I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it. We talked about this. so many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else.”
Her relationship with Pete, which included a brief engagement, ended in October.
