The ' A Star Is Born' actor and director has spoken of the importance of films to him, how they have "healed and inspired" him throughout his life.
Asked what he'd like people to take away from the movie as he appeared at the UK premiere of ' A Star Is Born' at Vue West End in London's Leicester Square on Thursday (September, 27, 2018), he said: "We both love films and we both love music. They've provided inspiration for us through our whole lives.
Movies have healed and inspired me. They do to this day and movies that come from a very authentic place. Everybody that worked on this movie - from the crew to her [Lady Gaga] gave everything of themselves in the hope of translating something authentic that you can relate to and can hopefully inspire, obviously entertain and heal. That's the goal."
Bradley and Lady Gaga feel they took a big risk with ' A Star Is Born' and put their careers on the line.
Bradley said: "There are certain projects where you can go, 'It didn't work out, but it's OK'. And there are others where it's like, 'Actually, that wasn't OK, and I took about five steps back.' This was one of those. If it didn't work, we both knew it was going to affect our careers."
Gaga agreed: "Things could have turned a bad corner."
However, the Hollywood hunk has that admitted a lot of his career decisions haven't made "sense".
He explained: "If I had been thinking about this like a corporation, there would have been a big meeting after I finished ' American Sniper'. And we'd all be like, 'OK, this is now our shot at the prime time, and we don't know how long it's going to last.' And we would not have then decided to do a play and then make ' A Star Is Born' for the fourth time. It makes no sense."
