Manchester United are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper scout after David de Gea had a nightmare season.
United posted a job vacancy on their website for a First Team Recruitment Analyst “with a specific emphasis on goalkeepers”.
The advert makes clear the job is to identify players with the potential to play for United.
But it remains to be seen if Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer drops the Spaniard who has made some high-profile mistakes, including costing his team two goals in their 3-1 FA Cup semifinal humiliation to Chelsea last weekend.
While Solskjaer has backed De Gea in public, the Norwegian coach has a massive decision to make regarding his No.1 goalkeeper.
With on-loan Dean Henderson starring for Sheffield United, the 23-year-old is adamant he will not return to Old Trafford to play second fiddle to De Gea, whose form has been slipping for some time.
