SuperSport United host Black Leopards this weekend, looking to get back to winning ways ahead of their MTN8 final showdown against Cape Town City next Saturday.
Matsatsantsa lost their last match 3-1 to Orlando Pirates and have been stewing in that defeat since last Saturday.
But midfielder Phumlani Ntshangase believes his team has put the defeat behind them and feels confident that they have the squad to win silverware this season.
Ahead of Sunday’s PSL clash, the 23-year-old loanee tells Kickoff: “Yes, we can [challenge for the title].
“I always say that in South African football, a team that can defend can win you titles. I learnt that from [Wits] coach Gavin Hunt.
“But a team that can play only and not defend will have a problem as time goes by.”
Meanwhile, high-flying Bloem Celtic look to maintain their unbeaten run against fellow invincibles Highlands Park on Sunday.
Celtic have won four and drawn once this term, winning Steve Komphela the league’s Coach of the Month award and defender Alfred Ndengane the Player of the Month award.
