Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel was quickest in practice
for the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix on Friday as he looks to
recover from last weekend's title blow in Germany.
Vettel posted a best 1 minute 16.834 seconds around the
4.381-kilometre Hungaroring circuit with Red Bull's Max Verstappen
just 0.074 seconds behind.
Daniel Ricciardo, who topped first practice in the other Red Bull,
was third ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in the second Ferrari.
Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas were fifth and sixth
respectively in both sessions.
After crashing at his home German Grand Prix last weekend, Vettel
trails Hamilton by 17 points in the world championship.
But Sunday's race offers him the ideal chance to bounce back as
Mercedes are expected to struggle on the tight track which is also
set to suit Red Bull.
Third practice is before qualifying Saturday. The Hungarian Grand
Prix is the last race before the four-week mid-season break.
