Former Manchester United No.7 Lee Sharpe believes Jose Mourinho is on borrowed time and will be gone by Christmas.
The Special One has been
moaning about the board’s failure to bring in players to challenge for the Premier League title in the build-up to the season.
He has also been at odds with some of his star players, including Barcelona-linked Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and most of his defence.
And it showed at Brighton on Sunday when his team lost 3-2.
Sharpe says: “[Mourinho] is the wrong man for the job.
“When he came to Chelsea the first time, he was quite charming and fun, but now he just seems dour and fed up.
“He’s moaned about not signing new players and not bigging up the ones he’s got.
“The football’s not entertaining and what makes it twice as bad is that their two biggest rivals, Man City and Liverpool, do play
exciting football.
“His negative style does not fit in with the expansive football that United fans want. I think he’ll be gone before Christmas.”
United’s board reportedly say they has given the Portuguese their full backing, which has turned out to be a kiss of death for both David Moyes and Louis van Gaal since Alex Ferguson quit in 2013.
