Liverpool have been warned that returning Manchester United striker Anthony Martial can skop them stukkend on his own on Sunday.
The Frenchman is back in training after recovering from a thigh injury which ruled him out since August and he is in line to start Sunday’s Premier League blockbuster at Old Trafford.
For struggling United, two points above the relegation zone, Martial is a massive boost as they take on Jurgen Klopp’s table toppers, who are on a perfect run of eight wins from eight matches.
But Red Devils midfielder Juan Mata believes the 23-year-old can turn that form on its head.
And Mata points to Martial’s brilliant goalscoring debut in a 3-1 win over their bitter rivals back in 2015, after coming on for the Spaniard as a 65th-minute substitute.

Mata says: “He is an incredibly talented player. You can see that since the moment he arrived at the club in his first game against Liverpool.
“In every training session, the way he takes on people, the way he can win a game by himself.”
Martial isn’t the only player coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could welcome back for the big clash.

Reports claim that midfielder Paul Pogba and rightback Aaron Wan-Bissaka are also in contention to play a part.
Pogba has been suffering from a persistent foot injury, while his defensive teammate missed the 1-0 loss to Newcastle due to illness.
