Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi can’t be bothered by criticism of his game ahead of Wednesday’s Europa League final against Chelsea in Baku (9pm).
The German has been guilty of some awful defending as the Gunners shipped 51 goals in the Premier League this season.
But Mustafi explains that the way Arsenal’s game-plan means that risks have to be taken.
And he insists coach Unai Emery does not want him to change the way he plays.
The 27-year-old says: “The coach prefers that we make mistakes but still play our game instead of just playing something and we cannot identify with the game.
“At the end of the day, you want to finish a game knowing we’ve done this, this and this and that’s why we won, not how did we win that game because we were bad but we won, because that’s not going to be consistent.”
