Stormers captain Siya Kolisi will not get any rest on their tour of Australasia.
With the South African franchises having an agreement with the national team that they will rest Springboks during the competition, the Bok captain does not want to sit out any time soon.
The reason for his decision is the Stormers are currently in the midst of a crisis up front ahead of their match against the Reds on Friday.
Having lost both their matches in New Zealand - against the Hurricanes and the Blues - the Stormers have to make-do without experienced players Pieter-Steph du Toit and Eben Etzebeth, who have both returned to Cape Town.
Du Toit came back home to be with his wife while she is giving birth, while Etzebeth is suffering from a calf injury.
With further doubt over the availability of another Bok, Wilco Louw, assistant coach Dawie Snyman says: “Siya told us immediately after the Blues match that he wants to keep playing because we are losing a bit of experience.
“As the captain he wants to make sure he keeps the team and the pack together.”
