Like most of us, the Stormers also got increasingly frustrated under “house arrest” since the coronavirus lockdown started 70 days ago.
But with government relaxing lockdown regulations at the start of the week, these manne have been given permission to go out on “parole”.
That means they don’t have total freedom just yet, just a taste of it by being able to return to training.
And according to Damian Willemse, the ouens can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.
He explains: “It is frustrating for all of us, we want to be on the pitch. We want to play rugby.
“The Stormers were on a good run at the start of the tournament and then we lost those two games against the Sharks and the Blues.
“And then it all stopped, it was frustrating. The guys want to get out on the pitch and see each other. They want to play.”
It doesn’t help that their New Zealand counterparts are returning to action next weekend.
But with the easing of lockdown restrictions, they are beginning to breathe a little easier.
Willemse adds: “We can see the light at the end now.
"[But it’s] important that we still focus on going through the safety regulations and when the time comes [to get back onto the park] we must make sure we’re ready to go.”
