Sharks assistant coach Dick Muir believes they are on the up ahead of Saturday’s Super Rugby derby against the Stormers at Newlands (kickoff 5.15pm).
After a slow start to the season, the Sharks currently find themselves with an outside chance of reaching the playoffs.
And Muir says: “We are disappointed where we stand in the log, and the early losses that we had in the competition.
“It is a young group of guys, so they are finding their feet and settling down, so there are going to be teething problems, but I think we have sorted a lot of those things out and we are looking in a really good place now.”
Of the Stormers he adds: “[They] are a dangerous side, we saw that when we played them here.
"So it will be a hell of a test for our guys and a great character test because they have nothing to play for really, other than pride, and we still have something to play for.”
