It was once again a weekend of mixed results for the Cape sides in the Glad Africa Championship.
Steenberg United were the pick of the bunch because, yoh, the ouens scored three goals between the 45th minute and final whistle at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.
I’m serious! The score was 0-0 at half-time and 1-1 in the 80th minute, then Mike Lukhubeni ouens went on a rampage and scored two more goals to sealed the game 3-1 against TS Sporting.

But then Ajax Cape Town did the opposite on Sunday in Athlone, losing 3-0 against Uthongathi.
I’m not even sure whether the visitors played well or just that the Urban Warriors’ defence is weak.
Meanwhile, Cape Umoya United did enough to earn a 1-1 against Richards Bay at Umhlathuze Sports Complex.
