Delft mense are refusing to stay indoors and Law Enforcement agencies say they are at their wits' end.
Officers and soldiers had their hands full on Monday as dozens of mense came out to the street to taunt them.
This after the army patrolled the area close to the taxi rank, and instead of people going inside, they came out, with some cheering while others provoked the men in camouflage.
A few arrests were made but a gatvol Metro police officer told the Daily Voice they cannot take it anymore.
TASK: Delft residents have been taunting cops, soldiers while ignoring lockdown rules
“Please, write there so that people may know this is for their own good. We are not here to play and we are not enjoying arresting them.
Those who were arrested were asked why they were outside, and when they could not give valid reasons, were made to sit in a row in front of police vans before being loaded in.
Local councillor Xola Ndongeni says he and his team are working hard to get people to obey the lockdown rules.
“We have been going around using loud hailers begging people to stay at home, but they do not want to listen.
“We understand that it is hard staying in one place but their health depend on them staying at home.”

Alderman Felicity Purchase, Mayoral Committee Member for Transport also raised concern about the increase of people at taxi ranks.
“I am particularly worried about people who are standing closely together in these spaces.
“In the coming days, the City will visit some of the public transport facilities and use a loud hailer to inform commuters about the Coronavirus, and to remind them to avoid physical contact with one another.”
Western Cape authorities have so far arrested over 2 000 people for contravening the lockdown rules.
