The Western Cape Missing Persons Unit (WCMPU) needs your help in finding a missing 16-year-old boy from Kalksteenfontein.
Keano Williams, was last seen at his home on 3 December about 7.30am.
The teen was last seen wearing a blue jeans, a blue jersey and navy takkies.
He is described as a coloured boy with brown eyes, short black hair and of average height.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the WCMPU, Candice van der Rheede, says: “He is known for going to Cape Town, especially the central business district area. His mother and brother have also been searching for him, but without any luck.”
She says the WCMPU is kept very busy during the festive season as there’s usually a spike in missing teenagers.
GONE: Keano Williams
She says the ‘missing chaos’ started over the past weekend but has warned teens not to waste precious resources by running away from home to be naughty.
“WCMPU members have had an influx of missing teens over the weekend. You don’t know half of what’s going on out there.
“It all seems nice to live on the edge and sneak off to a party, but once your drink gets spiked or you meet that human trafficker, your life will be over.
“Please think of how everyone worries about your safety. The world we live in now has many evil people waiting to sell you, rape you, hurt you and, even worse, kill you.
“There is such a thing as clean fun. Enjoy yourselves, but do it responsibly and wisely. Nobody wants to see you get hurt.”
