It’s believed three or four men stopped and jumped out of the car and opened fire on the two guards, who are from the tactical unit at their company.
One guard was hit in the right arm, while his partner was able to shoot one of the carjackers in the leg.
The skelms fled and the guards stayed with the car until Gugs police arrived at the scene. Police say the car was recovered and is to be returned to its owner after it has been processed.
The bullet that hit the guard scraped the skin off his upper right arm, but he is said to be OK.
