An alleged killer will be forced to return to the scene of the crime on Wednesday after being arrested for stabbing a skollie from a rival gang to death at Wynberg Magistrates’ Court.
Four days after the death of Chad Jansen, 21, of the Americans gang, wakker Grassy Park cops made a breakthrough when they tracked down their suspect in New Horizons on Sunday night.
Jansen bled to death at the court on Wednesday after a knife fight between the Americans gang of Parkwood and the Six Bob gang from Lotus River.
Police sources say Jansen was accompanying another skollie for his appearance at Court 1 when the incident happened.
“He went to court with his brasse who were appearing in Court 1. There were also Six Bobs from Lotus [River] at the same court and it appears that during the tea break, there was some argument between them and they stabbed each other in the passage.”
Grassy Park Police Station commander, Colonel Dawood Laing, says after studying the footage, cops went on a hunt after identifying the suspect.

“The 22-year-old man was found at a known Six Bobs residence in New Horizons shortly after 7pm on Sunday.
“He is a Zimbabwean Six Bob and was identified through the footage. He was charged with murder and will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court [on Wednesday].”
Laing applauded the hard work of officers, saying the evidence against him was crucial to the case.
“The police will not stop when the witnesses are willing to come forward.
“In this case, the video footage is crucial, but witnesses also came forward and gave statements against him,” Laing says.
