Cardi B turned the 2021 American Music Awards into her own personal fashion show.
The rapper rocked no fewer than eight costumes as she hosted the ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The 29-year-old star wore everything from a solid gold mask and black veil to a white gown with a daring slit.
The mom of three also donned a velvet high-neck gown and moerse feather headpiece and later slipped into a yellow gown, a skin-tight purple dress adorned with crystals.
Cardi walked away with the Favourite Hip-Hop song for her hit Up, but it was K-Pop band BTS who were the big winner at the fan-voted show.
The seven-member band from South Korea beat Taylor Swift, rapper Drake, pop singer Ariana Grande, teen phenomenon Olivia Rodrigo and Canadian The Weeknd to the night's biggest prize - artist of the year.
They also were named favourite pop group and won best pop song for their summer hit Butter.
“We’re truly honoured to be on this stage with such amazing, tremendous artists,” said Kim Nam-Joon, known as RM.
“It’s been a long and amazing ride... nobody could have ever bet on the odds of us standing here and receiving this award, except you all,” he added referring to the band’s fans.
Taylor took home the trophies for favourite female artist and best pop album for her lockdown album evermore.
“I’m so lucky to be in your life, and to get to have you in mine,” she told fans in a video acceptance speech.
Rodrigo, 18, who burst onto the charts in January, had gone into Sunday's show with seven nods, but ended up with just one - best new artist.
Doja Cat picked up three awards, including for her Kiss Me More collaboration with SZA.
Megan Thee Stallion also won three including favoUrite female hip hop artist.
Hotties I was so excited to go to the @AMAs and perform with @BTS_official, but due to an unexpected personal matter, I can no longer attend 😭😭I’m so sad! I really can’t wait to hit the stage with my guys and perform #BTS_Butter real soon!💜— TINA SNOW (@theestallion) November 20, 2021
New Edition and New Kids on the Block brought some 1980s nostalgia when they took the stage together to promote their comebacks, while Jennifer Lopez sang her new ballad On My Way.
