Die ding gaan ruk at the Festive Lights Switch-on this year.
The line-up of artists alone is going to make you wanna bust some moves at the 50th anniversary of this lekker Kaapse event.
This mahala jol takes place at the Grand Parade on Sunday, 1 December, from 4pm, with the theme Cape Town: Window to the World.
Stiek uit at this mal festival, where the star-studded performers themselves are true to the theme. You’ll get to see John Cena hitmaker Sho Madjozi, the awesome Ndlovu Youth Choir and the Cape’s own YoungstaCPT in action, says the City in a statement.

Rounding off the bumper bill of performers are Early B, The Unknown Dance Crew, The Zip Zap Circus, Gemini and Andries Vermeulen.
Mayor Dan Plato said the event signals the start of the Christmas season, adding that the theme “focuses on diversity, which is what Cape Town reflects and different communities across the city are expected to be part of this celebration of togetherness and sharing”.

It will also feature the video mapping display and lekker prizes will be up for grabs through competitions on the day. Just follow the hashtag #FLSO2019 on social media.
The winner of the Festive Lights Switch-On 2019 Music Challenge will also perform. Musos can enter for a chance to perform by submitting a video online before midnight on Sunday, 24 November, at http://flsomusicchallenge2019.co.za/
On the same website, young artists aged 16 and under can submit artwork created from waste materials, which could also be showcased at the event.
The deadline is before midnight on Thursday, 21 November.
