The three most talented singers in Cape Town on Thursday wowed Cape Town when they performed together for the first time live on radio.
The Voice SA 2016 winner Craig Lucas, 25, from Elsies River, Idols SA 2017 winner Paxton Fielies, 18, from Bishop Lavis and Idols SA 2018 winner Yanga Sobetwa, 17, from Delft, brought festive cheer to Kfm listeners when they performed Silent Night on the station’s breakfast show with Darren, Sherlin and Sibs.
There was an added surprise for Yanga when she learnt she has been added to the station’s annual KDay concert in March.
Kfm 94.5 programming manager Stephen Werner said: “Yanga is part of Cape Town’s musical triple threat along with Craig Lucas and Paxton, who have both previously set the Huawei KDay stage on fire.
“We celebrated Yanga’s announcement with a special festive performance by the trio, and will continue to support the Cape’s winning melodic trinity through their music careers.”

Yanga will be in good company, joining some of South Africa’s biggest stars including Craig, Mi Casa, Kurt Darren, Lady Zamar, Youngsta CPT, Doctor Victor and the Rasta Rebels, Jamali and Chad Saaiman among others.
An ecstatic Yanga said: “I was completely overwhelmed by celebrating the announcement in song with my idols, Craig Lucas and Paxton. This will be my first big performance in the city and I look forward to meeting all the Capetonians who rooted for me during Idols.”
The talented trio is also planning to do a number of special projects within their communities.
More on this will be revealed in the Daily Voice.
