Kanye West is apparently suing Jay-Z and the internet is going mal.
And that’s besides the backlash Kim Kardashian’s rapper husband has been getting for being a MAGA (Make America Great Again) supporter, especially in the wake of the homophobic and racist assault on actor Jussie Smollett.
Kanye came under fire for his “public” support of controversial US President Donald Trump after it emerged the people who allegedly attacked the Empire star for being “black” and “gay” were MAGA supporters.
But he has kept mum in the face of all the hate flung his way, writes TMZ, presumably as he’s too busy suing Beyoncé’s hubby, Jay-Z and his company Roc-A-Fella.
According to reports, the rapper filed a couple of lawsuits earlier this week; one of which is against Jay-Z’s record company.

“Kanye West has filed a pair of lawsuits in what may be an attempt to extradite himself from contracts and reclaim control over his career.
“One lawsuit is against EMI, the song publisher that has administered the rights to his songs since 2003, shortly before the hip-hop star released his debut album, The College Dropout. The other is against Roc-a-Fella Records, UMG Recordings, Def Jam and Bravado International Group.”
In the lawsuit, Kanye also apparently claims he was responsible for “revitalising” Jay-Z’s career with his writing and production contributions.
But a source reportedly denies there’s beef between the rappers, saying Kanye “sued a company that Jay-Z once owned a piece of, Roc-A-Fella Records. Jay-Z sold his interest in that company many years ago”.
Kanye is feeling the heat on social media, with one tweet branding him a “petty little man”, adding: “That’s why you like Trump so much. (sic)”
Another suggests he gets a “meds assessment”, writing: “Seems like his manic depression or bipolar health is out of control and he needs a Med assessment or adjustment”.
Another is convinced he needs all the money he can get: “He needs too, got a 4th kid on the way and they expensive as hell.”
