After finding their killer instinct, Ajax Cape Town are looking to skin Black Leopards in their final PSL promotion playoff match today.
The Urban Warriors scored five goals in 18 minutes against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) last time out and they are looking to pak dik again.
Level on six points with Leopards in the mini-log, victory will give Calvin Marlin’s manne a three-point lead and also add to their one-goal superior goal difference, ahead of Lidoda Duvha’s showdown with TTM on Monday.
In another scenario, a draw today could also be enough for the Kapenaars if Leopards fail to win their final game.
But that seems unlikely as TTM have collected no points from their three games thus far.
Having already secured their passage to the PSL by buying Wits’ Premiership status, TTM have nothing to play for.
Ajax, on the other hand, have all to play for at the Rand Stadium today.
And Tuesday’s hattrick hero against TTM, Eleazar Rodgers, has told his teammates that they have to make it count, knowing that if they lose it’s neusie verby for their chances of promotion.
After playing out all the permutations, he says: “It’s definitely out of our hands.
“But we must still do our part, considering that we still have to play Black Leopards.
“It’s our last game but we must win and score enough goals.
“So that, if it comes to that, we have a chance.”
