After making his first class debut for Western Province in their Cape derby against the Rocks last week, spinner Yves Kamanzi is hungry for more.
The 22-year-old and his Province teammates will host the Titans in 4-Day action starting at Newlands today.
With WP still looking for their first win of the series after two draws, Kamanzi says: “The Titans offer a different challenge to the Rocks but I’m working on improving my game with my coaches on a daily basis and hopefully, if selected, I will contribute some wickets to my team’s cause as we go in search of our first win of the 4-Day campaign.”
Of his own game, he adds: “I’ve taken a lot from [the game against the Rocks] – a lot of good and a lot of learnings going to the next game. It was my first game, but I have learnt a lot – something I hope will take me places in the tournament and in helping my team.”
Day One started at 10am today.
