There’s no mountain too big to climb for Mason Mount and his Chelsea teammates in this year’s Champions League according to the midfielder.
The Blues booked their place in the final four of the European competition on Tuesday night with a 2-1 aggregate win over Porto, despite losing the second leg 1-0 thanks to Mehdi Taremi’s injury-time bicycle kick winner at Stamford Bridge.
And with last night’s winner between Liverpool and Real Madrid up next in Europe, Mount is min gespin over which team they face.
He says: “We’ll take anyone.
“We’re ready for the fight, we’re ready for the battle. “The best team will go through, so we’re up for anyone.
“We’ve been performing at a high level, so hopefully that continues and we have massive, massive games.”
Thomas Tuchel’s side next face Manchester City in the FA Cup semifinal at Wembley on Saturday. Of the clash, Mount adds: “We know we have big, big games coming up, especially the next game: an FA Cup semi-final against Man City.
“We’re going into each game with the confidence that we’re going to winWe’ve got a big finish to the end of the season.”
