Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr is sniffing more goals when they tackle Inter Milan in their Champions League Group D opener at the San Siro at 9pm tonight.
The 21-year-old Brazilian has four strikes in as many La Liga games this term and is brimming with confidence after Sunday’s 5-2 win over Celta Vigo –in which he scored and Karim Benzema hit a hattrick.
With he and his teammates aan die brand, Vinicius says: “The coach [Carlo Ancelotti] is trying to get the best out of all of us, giving us confidence where he knows we can give more.”
Missing Gareth Bale because of a hamstring injury, Vinicius is confident that he can make die ding ruk again with Eden Hazard, who replaced Bale for the weekend’s La Liga match, and Benzema.
He says: “With Eden [Hazard] and Karim we combined a lot against Celta and that was key to the good victory.”
Inter have lost four of their last five matches against Real.
