Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is krapping his kop on how to deal with the possible return of Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League semifinal second leg.
With centreback Ramos being a bonafide goal threat, Tuchel is thinking about switching up his attack to keep the club legend occupied, after Chelsea played with a false nine at the weekend.
Asked if he will play with a more orthodox centre forward, Tuchel joked: “Or maybe play no striker at all and then Ramos has nothing to fight against.
“That can also be a solution.”
But jokes aside, with Chelsea holding an away goal advantage after a 1-1 draw in Madrid last week, Tuchel adds: “I have not made up my mind yet [about the team selection]. But let’s wait if he [Ramos] is fit. He’s the guy who gives a lot of solutions to questions that we will hopefully ask them.”
Meanwhile, Real suffered a defensive blow when centreback Raphael Varane was ruled out with an adductor injury.
