Following a nightmare series against India on home soil, Australia captain Tim Paine wants to rectify dinge when they tour South Africa next.
With the date for their Mzansi visit yet to be made vas, Paine is in a lot of pain after India stunned them with a three-wicket victory yesterday to claim the series 2-1.
Naturally the 36-year-old wicketkeeper’s captaincy has come under scrutiny in his home country.
But he says he will not step down from his position after a tough series personally.
He says: “ I’m still looking forward to going to South Africa to try and win a series there.”
He adds of the criticism: “It doesn’t always go your way in cricket or in life so for me it'’s about soldiering on…
“I’m loving the job. I’m going to cop heaps of flak, I know that. But that’s par for the course for this job.”
