Barker’s Bolanders are flying high in second place with five points after three games, while City are just one point behind them from their two matches played.
And admitting that his team dropped points after leading in Saturday’s 1-1 away draw to league newcomers Sekhukhune United, Barker wants his span to pull up their socks.
He says: “It’s another away game for us. But a game that we want to make sure we pitch up in and put in a big performance and get back to winning ways.”
Wingbacks Deano van Rooyen and Ibraheem Jabaar have been nursing knocks this week and Barker reckons they will be ready for action come Saturday at Athlone Stadium.
He adds: “We will be nice and fresh and looking forward to the derby.”
