Orlando Pirates were beaten 2-0 by Esperance in Tunisia on Tuesday afternoon.
The result leaves Bucs with five log points Champions League Group B with Horoya and FC Platinum in action on Tuesday night.
African champions Esperance scored in each half, with Anice Badri opening in the scoring and substitute Haythem Jouini sealing the points in the final minute.
The fixture has been controversial since the Tunisians trashed Orlando Stadium last week.
And the north Africans got up to more mischief as Bucs accused them of bringing the game forward in order to take advantage of Pirates’ exertions in Saturday’s Soweto derby.
Coach Micho said ahead of the game: “It is a bit unfortunate, the initial plan was to play at 9 pm [instead of 3 pm] but after seeing we were playing against Chiefs, they changed the time of kickoff.
“We accept that."
