Manchester United are working fast to beat shoppers to scoop Christian Eriksen from the bargain bin.
The Danish playmaker made it clear that he wants to leave Tottenham at the end of last season selling his house in London even before their Champions League defeat to Liverpool in May.
Spurs, however, were holding out for £130m for the midfielder but an expected move to Real Madrid never materialised.
But United are moving in at half that price with the hopes that harregat Spurs chairman Daniel Levy takes the bait before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
If not, Atletico Madrid and Juventus could join the race in a bid to land a cut-price £50m deal.

Spurs could be tempted to cash in given Eriksen has just one year left on his contract and could leave for free next summer.
Having made Harry Maguire the most expensive history on Monday, Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks Eriksen could complete a side that can challenge for the Premier League, with the season kicking off against Chelsea on Sunday.
Meanwhile, wantaway striker Romelu Lukaku is training with Anderlecht, reportedly without United’s permission as he continues to push towards the Old Trafford exit.

A swop deal escape route to Juventus fell through this week, after Paulo Dybala refused to leave Turin and United dropped their interest in striker Mario Mandzukic.
It’s expected that Inter Milan will resume their pursuit of the Belgian with a fresh bid of £65m.
