Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is confident that Mo Salah can fire them past Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday at 5.30pm.
With both Liverpool and Manchester City having played in the Champions League this week, their attention shifts back to the Premier League title race as City face Crystal Palace, who beat them in the reverse round, on Saturday.
But the match of the weekend sees Liverpool host Chelsea, who played Sparta Praha in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Heading into the match, Henderson is just glad that hitman Salah is finding the net again after his strike in their 3-1 win over Southampton last week, put the Reds back on course for a title challenge.
Henderson says: “I have to admit it made me smile to hear and read after the Southampton game that Mo Salah has ended his ‘drought’ when he scored our second goal.
“I’ve no idea how many Mo will end up with when the season finishes, except to say I’m pretty confident it’ll be more than he has now - but, to be honest, it doesn’t matter.
“The number that matters to all of us is our position in the Premier League when 38 games are done and the end outcome in the Champions League.
“And for Mo, his aim is to get us as close to achieving our aims as possible, in any way he can.”
