Jose Mourinho has his eye on Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham job as he looks for a route back into management.
Mourinho has been out of work since being fired by Manchester United last December.
And with Pochettino’s team off to a horror start to the season, the same fate could be awaiting to Argentinian Spurs coach.
Despite reports that the club have no plans to sack Pochettino, they are reeling from heavy defeats in their last two games.
Spurs were smashed 7-2 on their home ground by Bayern Munich in the Champions League last Wednesday and then lost 3-0 at Brighton last Saturday, a Premier League pak that left them down in ninth place on the log.
Pochettino, 47, insisted after Spurs’ defeat at Brighton: “We need to find a way to stay together and be all together again and find a good dynamic.”

However, according to reports, Pochettino has cut a distant figure, sparking fears that he is looking for a way out.
And the Special One is waiting in the wings, even though Spurs is only one clubs that appeal to the Portuguese manager.
Real Madrid, coached by Zinedine Zidane, are another and Mourinho remains in contact and on good terms with club president Florentino Perez.
Mourinho is prepared to bide his time and wait for the ideal opportunity. He has been working predominantly as a TV pundit and joined Sky ahead of the season.
