DIE trane het gerol at the end of Wednesday’s PSL promotion/relegation match between Cape Town City and Orbit College.
It was the Kapenaars who were vol trane, as they just got relegated to the PSL Championship following the 1-0 defeat.
That win meant Orbit College can no longer be caught at the top of the three-team standings, despite City and Casric Stars still having to play the final match of the three-team tournament on Monday.
For City it was heartbreak after the final whistle blew, with coach Diogo Peral unhappy that they couldn’t convert their chances into gold.
Still, whatever was said after the match could not change the fact that City will play in the Championship for the first time after nine seasons in SA’s top league.
Of picking up his hartseer players, Peral told the SABC: “We’ve got to pick them up, some of them have got great futures ahead of them.
“Some of them are coming to the end of their careers and it’s a horrible way to finish.
“We have to pick them up and get them to go again - wherever that may be.”
