Pitso Mosimane said the difference between his Mamelodi Sundowns and Barcelona is like the “rand to the euro”.

Today the exchange rate was 14.8 rands to a euro, but his side only lost 3-1 to the Spanish champions in their Nelson Mandela Centenary friendly at Soccer City on Wednesday night.

Still, Pitso is on the money when he talks of the gulf in quality between the PSL champs and the Catalan giants.

Downs gifted two goals to Barca with some sloppy defending as Ousmane Dembele, Luis Suarez and Andre Gomes all scored for the visitors before Sibusiso Vilakazi pulled one back.

Analysing the match, Bra Jingles says: “I think the difference is the rand and the euro, to sum it up.

“Ja, when they scored the first goal in the third minute, we started to say, ‘How many goals were coming?’

“You could see the quality in Barca; you see how they pass the ball and we struggled to get the ball.”
