Real Madrid have no way of stopping Neymar ahead of their Champions League last-16 clash against Paris St Germain on Wednesday night (9.45pm).
Zinedine Zidane’s manne have to hope that the Brazilian has an off-day when the teams clash as he comes up with a plan to plug a leaky defence that is missing rightback Dani Carvajal.
Carvajal is suspended for the first leg at the Bernabeu and reveals that that both Nacho Fernandez and Achraf Hakimi have been readied to take his place this week.
He tells AS Sport: “I don’t know who out of the two will play, but they’re both prepared.
“There’s no magic formula to stop Neymar. We just have to hope that he has an off day.”
Zidane, meanwhile, is hoping his own talisman – Cristiano Ronaldo – does have a great day in front of goal after his hattrick against Real Sociedad at the weekend.
Zizou says: “We are happy [with Ronaldo].
“On Friday they asked me if I was worried about him not scoring goals and he scored three.”
The clash could define Real’s season.
Los Blancos are in danger of ending the campaign with only the Club World Cup if they are beaten by PSG.
With their La Liga title seemingly going back to Barcelona, who lead the league by 16 points, out of the Copa del Rey, the Champions League title they have won for the past two years is also on the line.
