CAPE Town City had their harte in stukkies geskeur in the 94th minute of their PSL promotion/ relegation clash against Casric Stars yesterday.
Leading 1-0 thanks to a 26th minute goal from Prins Tjiueza, City’s goal were bombarded by the hosts at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.
As it happened, a ball was cleared by City and out of nowhere the referee pointed to the spot.
Replays then showed that City defender Siphamandla Dondolo kicked a Stars attacker.
Sphamandla Mlilo stepped up to take the kick, with City keeper Darren Keet guessing the right way. Unfortunately for City and Keet, Mlilo won the battle to make it 1-1.

When the final whistle blew shortly after the ball went into the back of the net, emotions boiled over.
City would have been the unhappier of the two sides, with assistant coach Roger de Sa saying: “It’s expected - it’s playoff time, everybody is playing for everything and emotions run high.
“It happens that way, a penalty with the last kick of the game - everybody thinks of everything that is going on. We’ve just got to calm down and we’ve got a good point away from home and then they’ve got to come to us [for the return leg in the Cape]... Hopefully we can push through.”
All three teams are on two points after two matches, with City travelling to Orbit College next week for their third match.
