Manchester United will be out to break Liverpool’s unbeaten run in the Premier League in the clash-of-clashes on Sunday.
The Reds hit the top of the Premier League last weekend on the back of a 16-match unbeaten run and will welcome a wounded Red Devils outfit to Anfield.
Despite the odds counting in their favour, Liverpool hasn’t beaten Jose Mourinho’s charges in their previous eight attempts.
Furthermore, coach Jurgen Klopp has not yet tasted victory against their fierce rivals.
And midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum warns his teammates that they can’t be complacent against United if they wish to give their manager his first win against their rivals.
The Dutchman says: “I don’t really think we are invincible and, if we think that, we have a manager that would put both feet on the ground.
“We know we have to do a lot to not lose games and even more to win it.
“We know we have to give a good performance every week to continue the run we are in.”
Mourinho’s sixth-placed side come into the game after resting a number of players in their 2-1 Champions League loss to Valencia.
But Wijnaldum believes the Old Trafford outfit will come at them with all their might.
He adds: “It is going to be difficult.
“Things can happen, everyone can have a bad season... last season, with the same players, they finished second.
“One season goes well, one season a little bit more difficult.
“It doesn’t mean they have a bad team.
“They have good players, a good manager, and they know how to manage games and win games – or not to lose games.”
