Cape Town City are urging their fans to join the battle against the spread against the coronavirus and wished the nation well as it goes into lockdown at midnight.

City midfielder Thabo Nodada says: “Hi guys. Sending light and life to everyone in the country, asking to help fight the coronavirus. Asking everyone to stay safe and keep to good hygiene and stop the spread, so that people can go back to work, the kids can go back to school and I can go back to playing football.
“I have no doubt that we can beat it as a country. Take care.”
