Manchester City put their troubled spell behind them with a stylish 3-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday.

After losing twice to Liverpool and once to neighbours Manchester United, Pep Guardiola’s men knew they could take one step closer to the Premier League title if they got the win over a spirited Tottenham side.

And that’s exactly what they did, with Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling all getting on the scoresheet.

Christian Eriksen pulled one back for the hosts to make it 2-1, but it was Sterling who settled the tie with a rebound shot after missing an easy chance earlier on.
