STORMERS coach John Dobson wants to bomb his team binne innie United Rugby Championship semi-finals against Glasgow Warriors in Friday's 8.35pm quarterfinal at Scotstoun Stadium.

Dobson has made 12 changes to his Stormers run-on team that klapped Cardiff 34-24 in their final URC league game in Cape Town and picked six forwards and two backs on the bench.

The run-on team seems fullback Warrick Gelant return to replace Damian Willemse, who copped a two-week ban for a dangerous tackle against Cardiff, with Ben Loader and Seabelo Senatla on the wings while Suleiman Hartzenberg moves to inside centre alongside the sole survivor from the Cardiff clash, Dan du Plessis at No.12.

In-form starting halfback pair of Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Stefan Ungerer are also back as starters. Manie Libbok and Herschel Jantjies move to the wood as the sole backline replacements after Leolin Zas and Wandisile Simelane got dropped.

Up-front, Dobson selected the loose-trio of Evan Roos, Marcel Theunissen and Paul de Villiers with Ruben van Heerden back at lock alongside captain Salmaan Moerat.

Tighthead prop Neethling Fouche retains his spot and hooker Andre Venter and loosehead Ali Vermaak replaces Joseph Dweba and Sti Sithole, respectively.

Looking to end a run of losses against Glasgow, that include last year’s 27-10 quarter-final verloor at Scotstoun, Dobson will unleash Dweba, props Vernon Matongo and Sithole, alongside lock JD Schickerling and loosies Louw Nel and Conor Evans off the bench.

Off the big call to pick a bomb squad bench, Dobson says: “We know that it will take a huge effort to beat a good Glasgow team on their home track.

“We have built up some good momentum recently and want to take that into this game. This was a very tough team to pick with some deserving players missing out, but we are excited to see what these combinations can do.”

Meanwhile, the Bulls tackle Edinburgh Saturday at 1.30pm at Loftus and the Sharks welcome Munster at 6.30pm.
