Benni McCarthy has warned his Cape Town City players that Chippa will have a point a prove against them on Tuesday night.
The Chilli Boys come to Athlone Stadium managerless for the 7.30 pm PSL clash after the club fired Eric Tinkler last week.
But with Joel Masutha as caretaker boss before owner Chippa Mpengesi appoints a new permanent coach, McCarthy believes the former Philippi-based club will be out to impress.
The Citizens’ mentor tells the Daily Voice: “It’s a tricky game because Chippa just lost a manager so players might want to put in a sterling performance to impress the new coach.
“If we have a quick start and put them under pressure and score an all-important early goal then Chippa will be under pressure.”

City are keen to get back to winning ways after their three-game winning streak was halted at Highlands Park two weeks ago.
And with just this match and another home clash against Bloem Celtic coming up before the end of the year, the coach wants six points.
He adds: “We pride ourselves in playing good attacking football and that’s what we will continue to do, hopefully, we can add scoring more goals to complement the good football we play.

“I am very proud and happy with the performance of the whole team everyone is working really hard to try and make sure we collect a maximum point from our games.”
City are expected to be without injured striker Matthew Rusike and new signing Tokelo Rantie, who is still working to get back to full fitness.
